This professionally guided Cardiff walking tour, led by a Wales Official Tourist Guide, sees us visiting, over the two hours and two miles walked, some of the major landmarks as well as locations infamous for dark deeds, hauntings and miscarriages of justice.

By the end of the tour, you will have a mental map of the city centre, and some tall tales told that will certainly not ease you into a good night’s sleep! But that’s what this tour is all about! Unsettling tales and spooky occurrences. You will be regaled with stories of murders, restless spirits and the innocent hanged.

The tour begins at the main entrance of Cardiff Castle and ends two hours later, just over the road from the castle entrance, at The Rummer, Cardiff’s most haunted pub. If you arrive early, we highly recommend the cafe across the road from the start point called Palette, with excellent coffee and a wide range of decadent cakes.

Your guide is a professional with a keen interest in the darker histories of Wales. Qualified as a guide through the Wales Official Tourist Guide Association, your guide has a grounding in the history and culture of Wales. On this tour, we look at the central area of the city of Cardiff and hear tall tales of its darker past.
