Pen Y Fan – Challenge From The South

Starting at a lay-by on the A470 we’ll walk a route that will see us rather alone for a good deal of the day despite walking to the summit of the highest mountain in Southern Britain, Pen y Fan. This walk is 20km and has over 1000m of ascent so we regard this as a challenge event for seasoned walkers 🙂

A Roman Road, Secret Valley And Fine Hill

This walk takes Andy back to when he lived at Forest Lodge and opened the first mountain bike hire centre in the Brecon Beacons. We’ll meet at Forest Lodge and then follow Sarn Helen, a Roman Road, to the Hanging Valley, perhaps the most beautiful spot in the National Park.

Sea To Summit – Spains Highest Mountain!

Join Andy in his winter home for a few days of walking on this highly memorable island. This is a sea to summit challenge – a walk from the airport to the top of mighty El Teide…

Parents And Kids Wye Valley Walk

This is an easy paced moderate walk for those looking for an enjoyable day out, those building fitness levels and those with younger children who might not appreciate a 15 mile mountain day 🙂

The Taff Trail, Aberfan and Hidden History!

This is a full day long walk in the Valleys with easy access from Quakers Yard railway station. It is 10 miles and there is one steep ascent. Parking is available on the road by the station.

Waterfalls And Forests And Tunnels

Blaen y Glyn is a fine location set between Pen y Fan and Talybont on Usk and easy to get to by road from Merthyr Tydfil. This day long walk with plenty of opportunity for photography includes a few highlights that must be mentioned.
