Capel Cartref

Capel Cartref is a renovated chapel, originally built in 1930 and named Capel Newydd. Based in Powys, on the border of Brecon Beacons, Capel Cartref is now a 5 bedroom house, with three bathrooms and an enclosed garden; it accommodates ten people and accepts well managed dogs. The rear of the chapel has a viranda and balcony that overlooks River Twrch.

Penycloddiau Hill Fort – Clwydian AONB

We will visit 2 separate hill forts on this walk, the first Moel Arthur is believed to be the burial place of Bodecia, and then Penycloddiau, which is one of the largest hillforts in Wales, over 20+ hectares. The Clwydians are designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), and this walk will highlight some of the best parts.

Brittany 2020

I was offering a week long activity holiday based near Carnac in Southern Brittany and Kevin looked onto it and I have Julie who wanted to come along but ‘the covid’s’ hit and all plans for the summer were sneezed into a hanky and disposed of.
