Penycloddiau Hill Fort – Clwydian AONB

We will visit 2 separate hill forts on this walk, the first Moel Arthur is believed to be the burial place of Bodecia, and then Penycloddiau, which is one of the largest hillforts in Wales, over 20+ hectares. The Clwydians are designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), and this walk will highlight some of the best parts.

Three Lakes Of The Gwydyr Forest

The Gwydyr is a sprawling forest of larch, spruce and deciduous woodland boasting a large network of labyrinthine paths, picturesque lakes and the popular Marin mountain bike trails. It takes a long time and many visits to get to know the Gwydyr but this circular 15km (9 mile) walk is a wonderful introduction to its myriad attractions.
