Just as a teaser and a few days before we get out there we thought we’d share these rather lovely long exposure shots taken last year whilst out in Waterfalls Country in the Breton Beacons National Park.
To be brutally honest, the weather was looking just a little bit worse than awful. The heavens had opened yet again the day before, causing more flooding and I was in two minds as to whether to join the 8 Waterfalls Walk organised by Andrew Lamb of Wales Outdoors.
The waterfalls area of the Brecon Beacons National Park is a main tourism attraction for South Wales and rightly so. We deliver a 10 mile 8 waterfalls walk and then we split that into two walks and deliver on different days two 5 mile 4 waterfall walks. These photos are from the second of the four mile waterfall walks.
OMG! It was a winter wonderland! Well, not quite, as no snow, but the ice was thick on the ground and the skies were as blue as they could be!
AMAZING WATERFALL’S WALKS that we have listed through to the end of April 2020 – do go get booking as these tend to sell out…
Getting towards the end of the year and the last but one waterfalls walk and one surprisingly not well attended, not sure why, maybe everyone was out last minute shopping, but hey, that meant we had the waterfalls to ourselves 🙂
We met at Pontneddfechan and followed the clockwise route around Andy’s Amazing Eight Waterfalls Walk which is in the south west of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Andy picked up a couple of university students after his Saturday morning yoga session at Cardiff International Pool with the amazing Yoga With Tori and headed off to the Brecon Beacons for a Four Waterfall Walk.
It was a ‘Wonderful Wednesday’, the last of 2019, and Andy led the second part of his tour of the waterfalls, a four waterfalls walk visiting different waterfalls and paths than the first part of the tour a couple of weeks prior.
We were back in the waterfalls area on the Sunday with this lovely bunch of walkers from Adventure Activity South Wales.
