Pen Y Fan – Challenge From The South

Starting at a lay-by on the A470 we’ll walk a route that will see us rather alone for a good deal of the day despite walking to the summit of the highest mountain in Southern Britain, Pen y Fan. This walk is 20km and has over 1000m of ascent so we regard this as a challenge event for seasoned walkers 🙂

Classic Pen y Fan Horseshoe And Spitfire Crash Site

Pen y Fan from the South. This 15k classic horseshoe walk crosses the valley below the now demolished lower Neuadd dam and climbs on to the Craig Fan Ddu ridge where we will aim to find the only Spitfire crash site in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
