He’s a Mountain Leader and has delivered many map and compass sessions, all to great acclaim 🙂 We will start at the beginning, in a cafe environment, and look at the basic uses of an Ordnance Survey Map, the standard map for hill walkers in the UK.
After a fabulous morning solstice walk and tea and cake and the Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre then a pub lunch in Brecon we headed to Pont ar Day Car Park and met up with a fine group of brave walkers from the Wales Outdoors meetup group.
But before I detail my top 12 I’d like to thank all who joined me on walks and camps and holidays and adventures in 2019. It certainly was a busy and eventful year and it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as wonderful without all of you lovely people 🙂 Thank you!
David was out on a very wet and miserable looking morning and so had some difficult navigation to, erm, navigate, to find the object of desire for this walk, the crashed WW2 Wellington Bomber in the West of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
