What a fine walk in horrendous weather with a full group of parents and kids – well done for getting out and about with us!
2000 Footers – 1
A couple of years back Andy delivered a series of walks across the Brecon Beacons National Park and they were a great success, taking in, one range or ridge or peak at a time, all of the hills over 2000ft.
Kenfig Pool
Andy’s first walk of 2020 was a very successful wander around the wonderful Kenfig Pool Nature Reserve. Billed as a castle, a well, a beach and a pool this walk has much to offer in the way of interest.
The Sleeping Giant
And on the first Sunday of the New Year the walking baton was handed to Graham and he led a very enjoyable wander over the amazing small mountain called Cribarth at the the top end of the Swansea Valley.
Berchtesgaden & Salzburg
Andy and Kate spent New Years in Hitlers favourite place, Berchesgaden. It’s in the Bavarian Alps and is stunning! The walking is great, the mountains are gorgeous and no one does the festive season better than the Germans with outdoor markets and a good likelyhood of crisp snow.
Andy’s Amazing Eight Waterfalls Walk
You can tell by the pictures here that the weather was absolutely playing ball and this day was just about the very best conditions for walking in the waterfalls area, or any area for that matter, of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Andy’s Amazing Eight Waterfalls
We met at Pontneddfechan and followed the clockwise route around Andy’s Amazing Eight Waterfalls Walk which is in the south west of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Wellington Bomber Walk
David was out on a very wet and miserable looking morning and so had some difficult navigation to, erm, navigate, to find the object of desire for this walk, the crashed WW2 Wellington Bomber in the West of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Wye Valley Walk
Not many pics from this day but still, it’s a record of the group and the smiles 🙂 Melitsa delivered another of her popular walks around the Wye Valley and taking in the ox bow, Symonds Yat, Biblin’s bridge and King Arthurs Cave.
Penarth To Lavernock
It was another one of our regular walkers birthday. Cat hails from England but despite that she’s still welcome 😉 Andy bought her a cake and gave her a hug for crossing the bridge on a wet birthday morning 🙂
