With stunning views from the start this walk doesn’t disappoint. Starting off at Reynoldston, we head up to the footpath and across the heathland. On a clear day you will get to enjoy panoramic views over the Gower Peninsula.
Starting at Hillend this day long walk will see us walk, with the backpackers who are enjoying two nights of camping, from Hillend campsite along the beach and out towards Worms Head then along the dramatic cliffs towards Port Eynon and back to Overton.
Starting at Llanmadoc this day long walk will see us walk with the backpackers, who are enjoying two nights of camping, out to Whitford Lighthouse and then along the beach as far as Burry Holms. Here we’ll show you the coastal footpath and send you back to the start point.
The walk is 24 miles in total and so we’ll need to average about 8 miles a day for the duration from Llanmadoc to Oxwich. At the start of the walk we’ll arrange to leave a car or two at Oxwich so we have a shuttle sorted for the end of the walk on Sunday.
Starting at Llanmadoc this day long walk will see us walk through gorgeous pine forest and dunes on the way to Whiteford Lighthouse then following the beach as far as the beach at Llangennith then back via the cliff top path to the start point. This walk is 18km and it is relatively flat with 200m of ascent.
But before I detail my top 12 I’d like to thank all who joined me on walks and camps and holidays and adventures in 2019. It certainly was a busy and eventful year and it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as wonderful without all of you lovely people 🙂 Thank you!
