Welsh limestone country – shake holes, a disappearing river and a Wellington bomber crash site.
This 7 mile walk takes in the tremendous limestone area above Dan yr Ogof and visits the WW2 Vickers Wellington bomber MF509 crash site where there is a permanent memorial and significant wreckage. Some small paths and a little bit of easy and safe clambering up rocks. Total ascent about 350m.
Start/finish – parking area to the right (next to the stone circle) through the Dan yr Ogof gates.
Why not combine the walk with a visit to Dan yr Ogof caves while you are there?
