This is a guided walk to the summit of Pen y Fan (the highest mountain in Southern Britain) and we’ll keep you away from the crowds!
Meeting in the lay-by just north of Storey Arms we will have a four-hour exploration of Pen y Fan and will likely go up following the river to the source of The Taff and then up over Corn Du and onto Pen y Fan. Depending on time and how we are all doing we may simply head back down or we might head onwards to the lake at the foot of Corn Du and then back up and down to the start point via Tommy Jones Memorial and Storey Arms.
Whatever route we take this will be a fine mountain day likely with two steep ascents and one steep descent and with a small section of the walk being cross country, so moving over open ground or along sheep tracks.
