We’re Back! Join Us!

It’s been a long time! But we’re back 🙂

We thought we’d list a fun amble around a secret valley and pay a visit to the fishes in the magical toe nibbling pool and do this for free as our way of celebrating the end (ish) of lockdown.

We will of course follow government advice on social distancing, whatever that might be at the time, and so will be messaging all who intend to come along with protocols for attending, but nearer the time.

The valley of the Nant Crew is rarely visited and is gorgeous. It’s a ‘secret place’ that is deserving of a day walk of it’s own. So this will be a walk for much of the day that has us ambling up stream and exploring the small waterfalls and pools along the way.

The highlight is a visit to the pictured pool, deep enough for swimming and usually full of fishes that approach you and suck on your toes 🙂

This will be a fun and memorable first guided walk since March.

Do search the programme for other great events!

Wales Outdoors protocols for delivering walks in Wales in light of the Coronavirus. As guidance changes these notes will change.

Wales Outdoors are not encouraging car sharing.

We will meet at suitable locations and the leader will describe the walk, the conditions underfoot and the estimated time it will take. We will do this whilst observing the prevailing social distancing guidance. You will be reminded there is to be no sharing of kit, clothing, food or drinks.

We aim to walk with ‘bubbles’ no larger than six people and these bubbles will walk with a few minutes gap between each. We will all walk whilst observing the prevailing social distancing guidance.

We will have lunch/snack break at a suitable spot that can accommodate the whole group whilst we observe the prevailing social distancing guidance.

At the end of the walk we will say our goodbyes whilst observing the prevailing social distancing guidance and then go our separate ways.

We encourage all to share photos in the Wales Outdoors photo stream group – https://www.walesoutdoors.co.uk/groups/walk-photo-stream/
We encourage all to maintain friendships by adding new found friends – https://www.walesoutdoors.co.uk/members/

We work hard to maintain the group and provide a vibrant activity programme and this takes time and money. We have developed four tiers of support and would ask you take a look and if inclined choose one that suits your level of participation and your pocket. Payment for these are monthly by standing order or by card using our SubscribeStar portal – https://www.walesoutdoors.co.uk/store/Membership-c47122337

Here’s to beginning walking in Wales once again! See you on the hill soon!

    Andy and the team.
