Expedition North Wales
This is a tried and tested expedition in North Wales and takes in some fine scenery, the best of the quiet walking routes and includes a night in a bothy and a night wild camping at Andy’s favourite wild campsite in the North.
We’ll meet at Moel Siabod Cafe in Capel Curig where we can leave the vehicles for a small fee. We’ll then walk into the Carneddau via a wonderful reservoir walk and have a night in a bothy.
Day two is the ascent of the 2nd highest mountain in Snowdonia and a great ridge walk that takes in both Carnedd Dafydd and Carnedd Llewellyn, before descending to Bethesda for some cafe food and then onto the wild campsite.
Day three can be either a valley walk or a ridge walk, we’ll see how we all feel and what the weather is doing 🙂 Either way high or low we are heading back to the start point with a great weekend of walking under our belts.
Some camp kit is available for hire from Andy. It is advisable to purchase your own though but do consult with Andy as he has lots of experience and gives great advice. Backpacking training, camp craft and mountain navigation are all things Andy will be teaching, if wanted, over the course of this long weekend.
We will be walking in North Wales a few days prior to this expedition so do consider joining us for some additional days on the hill. Wednesday will be an ascent of Cadair Idris and Thursday sees us Climb Snowdon by a lesser walked route.
Join Andy for a day long walk or for for five days of wonderful walking in North Wales 🙂
