This is a guided walk in the Central South area of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
We’ll meet in the villages public car park which is adjacent to the New Inn for a 10am start. This fine route in the Forest Fawr area of the Brecon Beacons is a day out in the hills that is rarely walked, and undeservedly so. But I guess we ought to be thankful, we’ll have this route to ourselves 🙂
The jewel is the wonderful Ystradfellte Reservoir and we get to explore and observe the hidden waters in this great lesser visited location.
The route is uphill, gently at first but then after the reservoir steeply up to the summit of Fan Llia and then a steep descent back to the start point. 17km and 500m of ascent.
