Beach And Cave Coastal Adventure!
Timed to coincide with low water (12.16) we will be exploring the intertidal zone between Ogmore and Southerndown – so a tide out beach walk/rocky scramble. We will visit walk in caves and for those that want to give it a go have a scramble through some gaps and connections that link a couple of them together. The limestone cliffs are spectacular from this viewpoint and the walk is truly memorable. We’ll likely go for a swim half way along this route and as we’re far away from the crowds (nobody else will be nearby or walking this route) bathers will be optional!
At Southerndown we can chill with an ice cream before heading back along the cliff tops to the cars. You will need a packed lunch, a torch if you have one, clothing suitable for the conditions forecast for the day, sun cream and bathing costumes… if you really must 😉
We are restricting numbers attending due to the potentially hazardous nature of walking at cliff bottom in a race against the tide…
