CANADIAN CANOE KAYAK DAY IN WALES This is a day long canadian canoe kayak session - a popular way to see the countyside. We prefer Canadian canoes for a standard canoeing session but we can run this day with kayaks. CANADIAN CANOE KAYAK DAY DETAILS CANADIAN CANOE KAYAK DAY DESCRIPTION BRECON BEACONS Why not go for a fun session on the canal with basic strokes taught and games galore. This works well as a split session with a tunnel walk. Or on the river Wye from Glasbury, stopping off at Hay on Wye for lunch and continuing to Whitney on Wye. We can run camping expeditions on this river with full guiding and transport support. At the start of the canoe or kayak day we kit up and spend the morning practicing paddle strokes and safety routines as we travel downstream. The canal sessions are led form the bank, enabling easy access to all canoes and good opportunity to direct games and paddle stroke learning. The river trips, canoeing on the Wye or Usk, are expedition style with lunch packed in watertight barrels and a shuttle to bring you back to the start point at the end of the day. We bring to the day all necessary safety equipment and of course canoes or kayaks, paddles, helmets and bouyancy. WHO CAN TAKE PART? We can accommodate most levels of ability and have worked with all ages although any child under 7 years old should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. CAN I COMBINE THIS WITH ANY OTHER ACTIVITIES? This is a full adventure canoe kayak activity day so no need to combine with another activity. Saying this though, why not combine this with a second day out on the hill or perhaps Gorge Walking CAN I USE A CAMERA / CAMCORDER Yes. There are good opportunites to film the sessions but we are not to be held responsible for any damaged cameras.
